600 cc Micro Sprints Rules

 

1.   Minimum Age 16 or older PROOF REQUIRED

 

2.   All cars will be subject to safety and technical inspection prior to and after competing.

 

3.   Minimum weight 800 lbs for open motors and 750 lbs for stock motors.  All weights are measured with the car and driver as they come off the track immediately following an event.  WEIGHT TO BE CLEARLY MARKED ON THE SIDE OF THE HOOD.

 

4.   Must have a functional cockpit operated electric starter, clutch and onboard battery capable of starting the engine.

 

5.   Brake lines must be steel, stainless braded teflon brake hose or DOT approved rubber brake line for brake plumbing.  No exposed plastic tubing allowed.

 

6.   Wheel base is a minimum of 50 inches and a maximum of 70 inches.  Wheel base is measured center of front axle of center of rear axle.  Maximum outside tire width is 65 inches.

 

7.   Any type of transmission is legal.

 

8.   All cars must be equipped with side nerf bars not to extend beyond the outside edge of tire.

 

9.   Cars must have front and rear bumpers.  Front bumpers not to extend the outside edge of the tires.

 

10.               Any material used to add weight must be bolted or clamped as part of the car’s structure.  No zip-ties allowed.  Weight must be clearly marked with car’s number.

 

11.               Top wing not to exceed 12 ft square with maximum 28”X60”                 sideboards. 

 

12.               Nose wing not to exceed 18”X24”.

 

13.               Car numbers must be on the nose 8” min.  both sides of the tail 10” min. and sideboards of wing 12” min.
