June 28th. . .was our regular show. We had a short rain delay before the
racing even started. Our
appreciation goes out to all of the drivers, pit crews, spectators and
staff who worked diligently to get the track ready after some scattered
rain showers. Without all that help,
we wouldn’t have been able to get the show in. THANK YOU! Despite the rain delay, the evening
events were successful and exciting.
All of our driver’s and spectator’s patience was also
appreciated. Now we can get ready
for our big weekend for the 4th of July with the “BATTLE OF THE
BULL RINGS” double feature at Deerfield Raceway on the 4th and
Blanket Hill on the 5th.
All details are listed below.
And as stated before, Missy Gardina will be racing at Deerfield
Raceway on Saturday July 4th.

Quite a few of our regular racers here at Blanket Hill
Speedway will be going out to Deerfield to race part 1 of the weekend and
this includes our own Missy Gardina.
And then we will hold part 2 of the race on July 5th, here
at Blanket Hill Speedway. On our
part of the weekend, the 270’s Wingless event will be held as well. If there are any questions about this
event, please email ONLY either webmaster@blankethillspeedway.net
or miss41@blankethillspeedway.net.
This event is always a great show.
Updates:
6-28-09: Another reminder to drivers. . .at 4:30 p.m. EVERY
race (unless specified), the pill draw ENDS. If we are on a rain delay, this still
applies. You may still enter the
race. . .being tagged onto the back of the heat races. We had some confusion on this process
this past race and want to make sure everyone is aware of this rule.
ALSO:
If any drivers, pit crews or spectators come in after our show
begins and no one is at the front gate. . .you are to go to the concession
stand and pay there to attend our events.
IF you are a driver, you must let whoever checks you in know that so
that they may contact the score tower with your class, name and
number. No one other than staff is
allowed in the score tower. Thank
you.
06-21-09: Attn:
Drivers, the Garvin Transport Salvage and Sales bonus money races are
postponed at this time. We will have
our regular payout schedule and racing.
More details later about this postponement.
Another reminder
to our drivers. . .please check your rules and specs for your
division. Rules and specs are on the
website as well as copies available at the concession stand. Thank you for your anticipated
cooperation on this matter. If you
have a question about any rule or spec, email Missy at miss41@blankethillspeedway.net.
5/10/09:
At this time, we would like to remind
everyone about our rain check/no refund policy. If we race on the scheduled day without
any cancellation of any event, there are absolutely no refunds for anyone
including the drivers who have mechanical error or do not make it to the
grid on time or has to leave before the race begins. If we get all of our heat races in and
have a rain or weather problem, it is considered a complete race with
features to be made up according to a make up schedule during the following
weeks. During the make ups, we also
will be running our regularly scheduled show. Those who are participating will run
their make up feature; but there is no registration or pit pass refund or
exchange and you will be required to pay for your pit pass and registration
IF you are running in the scheduled event on that day along with your make
up feature. If you have signed in
and/or paid to get in and we have a complete rain out or cancellation, you
are to bring your ticket and/or pit pass to the front gate within 2 weeks
of racing for an exchange only. Any
question, please contact Missy via email or phone contact information at
the bottom of this page. Or email
the website and the questions or concerns will be addressed.
ATTENTION DRIVERS. . .we want to
remind you of the rules of the track about our protest forms. If and when a problem or concern comes
about, you need to go to the pit gate and see Josh for a protest form
hanging by the line up board, fill it out and hand it into the office or
concession stand at the end of the night in question and Missy will address
your question, concern or problem within 24-36 hours. Make sure you have an email address or
phone number so that she may contact you promptly. Under NO circumstances is anyone to
approach any track official about any type of dispute during the same
night. This is stated in our rules
and regulations. If you need a copy
of the rules, they are hanging outside the office, in the pits, or extra
copies are available at the concession stand. THANK YOU for your anticipated
cooperation on this matter.
ATTENTION 250 Sportsman
Class: The rules as stated will
stand and are final as of 5/10/09.
There will be NO revisions made.
This decision was based on a majority rules count. Any questions, email Missy and she will
address them. But the rules will
stand.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING MINOR AGE RACERS: If you are under the age of 18, you will
need to submit a copy of your birth certificate or photo I.D. of some
kind. NO minor will be allowed to
race until valid forms of identification are on file. This is an insurance request that we need
to comply with. If you are a minor
just entering the pits, you are not required to submit that information but
will have to show i.d. and have a parent sign a minor consent and
waiver. We reserve the right to
check ANY i.d. if we are not sure of the age. So everyone needs to have some proof of
age. Again, this is for our
insurance. If you would like, you
may also email the copy of the birth certificates to webmaster@blankethillspeedway.net
or miss41@blankethillspeedway.net. Thank you for your anticipated
cooperation.
THINGS TO REMEMBER
EACH RACE:
v
Please go to the Rules page and review the rules for your
division. You will have 1 week (this
April 19 day) to make any and all adjustments to comply with your
division’s rules. Also, view and
memorize the rules and regulations of Blanket Hill Speedway. These rules and regulations are mandatory
and must be enforced with NO EXCEPTIONS.
You may also pick up a copy of any of the rules at the concession
stand.
v
We also are going to be checking proof of age I. D.s. So if you are under the age of 18, you
will need a parent or legal guardian to sign consent and a minor waiver at
the front gate. Anyone over 18 that
is asked for I.D. and doesn’t have it with them will be turned away. This is for legal and insurance
reasons. Every driver or pit crew
member will need this proof. Thank
you for your anticipated cooperation to make this season a successful
one. Go out there have a safe, fun,
competitive racing season.
v Any
questions and/or concerns, please contact Missy @ 724-321-3185 or email her at miss41@blankethillspeedway.net **PLEASE NOTE:
Missy’s email address has changed. When approaching her, please make
sure it is by phone, email or if it has to be during the same day
race—approach her BEFORE racing begins.
After that, you may fill out a protest form for her to acknowledge
after the night has ended and can be turned in when going for payout or to
the concession stand to be forwarded to her. Please do NOT approach any
track official during the race. Anyone
who does, may be asked to leave or be disqualified. All official’s rulings are final. Any concerns will be addressed within
24-36 hours after protest form is viewed. Make sure you put your contact
information on the form so Missy may get back to you ASAP. You also may email her at
miss41@blankethillspeedway.net.
vAlso note, the ONLY correct information about any changes
and/or announcements about Blanket
Hill Speedway will come from Missy Gardina or will be announced during the
race. So please address her with any
questions and/or inquiries about this race season.
*RULES DISCLAIMER: No warranty of safety is expressed or
implied as a result of this publication of the rules. Rules are intended as a guideline and are
in no way a guarantee against injury or death to participants, spectators,
or officials. Anything not covered
by these specifications should be approved by the track officials and
placed in writing. *This
disclaimer is on every set of rules for each division and track rules.
v VERY IMPORTANT AND
MANDATORY: Whatever weight your car is suppose to
weigh based on your division, it should be CLEARLY MARKED on the
left side of the hood to help things run smoothly and get the weigh in done
quickly and accurately as per the rules of your division. Thank you.
Ø
Safety
Issues: In the event that there
is a need for the ambulance to attend to a driver or track official during
a red flag incident, NO ONE is permitted to come onto the track until a
track official or safety crew member permits it. Absolutely NO crew, push quads, etc. are
to come onto the track. Spectators
are asked to stay away from the fence in case of any type of accidental
incident with the racing vehicle or to distract the officials, driver or
safety crew from doing their jobs.
This is for your safety and the immediate attention to the injured
person(s). Also, when coming to the
line up grid, please DO NOT block in the ambulance so it may leave that
area immediately in case of injury or incident. The announcer will bring everyone up to
date as he hears from the track crew.
Again Thank You for your anticipated cooperation.
