Thank you to all sponsors for helping us put on our 2010
season!!!
The webmaster@blankethillspeedway.net
email is NOT working. Any incoming
emails are blocked and we are working with our server to fix this, so in the
meantime, you may email miss41@blankethillspeedway.net
with any questions/inquiries and she will forward them onto me. Thank you and we apologize for any
inconvenience.
Please be patient with our website.
. .we have been experiencing server problems and although we update the
site weekly, sometimes the changes do not go through. If you come on the site and there are no
changes, please try to delete Blanket Hill from your browser history and
retype the address in the address bar. . .this sometimes is the issue. For this week though, all of the changes
did not go through. We apologize for
any inconvenience. Thank you. . .
REMINDER
TO QUAD RIDERS: You must have a
front, back and side plates with your number on it.
. .it is mandatory for correct scoring.
If you do not comply, you will not be scored. This is for your benefit to receive the
correct placement in final results.
Thank you.
We would like to remind all drivers and
riders to refer to the rules. . .if you have a
“back up” car or quad that you race during the feature after running a
different car or quad to qualify in your heat race, you are able to race
for points even if it is a different car/quad and you put your # on it. Points go to the car/quad, not the driver
and this would apply even if someone else races your car/quad. The rules state that you must start at
the back of the field. We hope this
clears up any misunderstanding of the rules. In addition to this, any changes made in
driver, car/quad, signing up for a division, etc. MUST be made BEFORE
intermission. The line ups are
completed at this time to begin our features right after intermission. No Exceptions. . .
Congratulations
go out to our 8/28 winners:

Honorable Mention
of Sportsmanship: Eric DeCroo #77D gave up receiving points this week to run
for Randilynn Bertolini
#72X after she was injured the previous week racing. He unselfishly did this so she could
remain 1st in points.
This is greatly appreciated to show that kind of sportsmanship.
8/28/10: This same link may be used to order
action shots and kids day shots from the 8/28/10
show. This photographer showed up
and took some action shots during some previous races. The link to view and order any action
shots is:
www.k-photo.smugmug.com. You must go to that link to order, we do
not have the pictures and this is done by someone outside the race track
staff.
UPDATES: While the races are going on, please do
NOT disturb the score tower officials.
The scorers need to not be disturbed for accurate scoring. The score tower is for STAFF ONLY. We have installed a window at the back of
the tower and everyone who needs to contact the tower can come to the
window. Please knock on the window,
however during the racing, we may not be able to hear you, so waiting
between races would be appreciated. Please
do not just walk in the tower. This
is for the benefit of the participants so they are scored properly.
Also, this is
where payouts will be distributed.
Payouts will begin at the start of the 3rd feature for
the first feature ran. Please allow
us time to get the payouts ready.
The payout window will be open up to 30 minutes after the last race
which is usually the TT Course, after that the payouts will have to be
picked up the following week. Thank
you for your anticipated cooperation.
Along with the payouts being done at that time, if you
did not pick up your payout on a previous week. . .you only have 2 racing
weeks to claim it otherwise it will be forfeited. If you have an unclaimed payout in this time
frame, you must tell us the exact date, so we can look this
up on the payout sheet. This payout
will be given out at the time you claim your present payout.
We have had many spectators and people going into the pits
without registering after the front gate is unattended. Please make sure you come to the score
tower to see Sue between races and pay your admission. There is absolutely NO entrance into the
pits without a wristband and registering.
Anyone with a spectator ticket is NOT allowed to enter the pit area
at all. This includes the Mod Lite pits at the top of the hill. Drivers, you need to inform anyone with
you about this.
Also, we must enforce
the “open toe” shoes rule. NO flip
flops, sandals or any other kind of open toe shoes are allowed in the
pits. . .this is a safety and insurance
policy. You will be asked to leave
the pits or change into appropriate shoes.
Again, thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
Please make sure that during any red flag incidence on
our track that the pit crews, families, friends and spectators stay off the
track and away from the fence. This
is for your safety. Find a track
official to see when you can join the racer involved. Our announcer will always keep you
updated on status.
Photos: We will have photos available the week
following a show. Go to the
concession stand to view and order.
You also may pick up your previous orders there. The photo book will be available at the
concession stand during the whole evening of racing.
. .Thank you!
