We have now officially come to the end of our 2009 racing
season. Missy would like to thank
all of our sponsors, racers, car owners, volunteers, pit crew members,
spectators and fans and Buffalo EMS for helping make our 2009 season a
success. Without all mentioned
above, we could not put on these events every week. We had a record season with no rain
cancellations! Although we did have
one week, we were cut short due to rain. . .we did, however, get most of
the show in and made up the rest.
Our events could not go as well as they have without all the support
from all of you. THANK YOU!
Please be sure to check over the website and the
microracing.com and dwarfcarracing.com message boards during the off-season
for details for next season, our annual banquet which will be held sometime
in January or February, and any updates, etc. If you need to get into contact with
anyone from the track, please email requests to webmaster@blankethillspeedway.net or call Missy at 724-321-3185. Again thank you for all your support this
year.
Saturday, October 3rd, 2009. . .was our final
event of the season. All event
results are posted on our result page on this website. Our extra specials included a 25 lap Mod
Lite race and a 40 lap TT Enduro along with our annual non-winners races for
all divisions except TT Quads + a 250 wingless race and by popular demand
another 270 vs 600 Shootout. . .including 2 of our 250 micros as well. We added, by request, to this show a
regular 270 and 600 Micro race.
As with anytime a
rider/driver participates in racing there may be an accident or 2. We want to send out well wishes to Doug
Johnston #34 and Rol Bollinger #765 mod lite drivers who were in a horrific
crash on the front straight away.
Both walked away from the crash and these 2 showed such great
sportsmanship throughout the incident.
We want to thank everyone who came down to the track and helped get
the track ready to finish the racing for the evening as well as our
ambulance crew who were there to assist our drivers involved.
Anyone wanting pictures from our Fall Finale on Oct. 3rd,
please email webmaster@blankethillspeedway.net.
All photos posted to the photo gallery on this website.
Remember to check out the message boards and this website
throughout the off season for updates and if there is anyone who didn’t
fill out an information card, you can email your information to
webmaster@blankethillspeedway.net and you will added to the email and
mailing list. For those of you who
want to attend the banquet, we will have a reservation form posted on this
home page. The banquet is open to
anyone, including spectators. . .it is always a fun and relaxing time.
See you in 2010. Have
a safe and “try to stay warm” winter.
WHO SAYS THE TRACK WOULD EVER BE TOO SOUPY AND MUDDY TO
HAVE FUN ON IT??? WE CALL THIS
“LABOR DAY MUDFEST 2009”
